PURPOSE:To facilitate transmission control with simple constitution by identify ing the frame length of data by a part coupling the transmission control section to the transmission line and applying information communication by a frame length smaller than the minimum frame length set for communication normally. CONSTITUTION:Node stations connected in a ring receive 11 a signal WY com ing from the upstream and identify 14 the frame length. When the frame length is longer than the shortest frame set for the conventional communication, the signal WY is sent from a transmitter 20 via a decoder 12, a transmission control ler CNT and a coder 16. When the frame length is shorter than the said shortest frame, the control information of the line system is discriminated 15 and a SW 18 is turned to a contact (b) via a drive circuit 19 to send 20 the informa tion. When the signal interruption from the high-order is supervised 13 and detected, the control information of the line system is generated 17 via the drive circuit 19 and sent 20 to the downstream. Thus, the transmission control is facilitated by a simple equipment.
