PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of the magnetic field of the title solenoid magnet by a method wherein the current running on an interlayer transition lead wire 7 is changed into reverse direction. CONSTITUTION: The coil 2 of each layer is divided into the lower layer group 3 and the upper layer group 4 consisting of the same number of layers, the winding direction of the coil 2 is set in the reverse direction by the unit of group, both ends of the coil 2 of each layer are cut, and they are led out by a lead wire 5, and each coil 2 is connected in series using transition lead wires 7 and 8 in such a manner that the direction of current running on the coil 2 of the lower layer group 3 and the direction of current running on the coil 2 of the upper layer group are reversed each other. As the winding direction of the lower coil group 3 and the upper layer group 4 are reversed each other, and the direction of current is also reversed, the magnetic field formed by the coil 2 of both groups 3 and 4 become the same direction. Also, as the current running on both groups 3 and 4 become reverse direction with each other, the direction of current of the transition lead wire 7 between the groups 3 and 4 becomes reverse with each other. As a result, the magnetic field is cancelled by the lead wire 7, and no effect is given to the center magnetic field.
