The device for carrying out quality control on individual test specimens consists essentially of light sources, an optoelectronic sensing device and a glass supporting surface for the test specimens. The supporting surface can be constructed as a rotating table, as individual panes on a conveyor chain or as an oscillating table. The light source and/or the sensing device can be arranged above and below the supporting surface.
