PURPOSE:To make it possible to have a long service life under the condition the deformation of the electrode plates is liable to occur, by pressing and bending the upper part of a separator with a projecting plate square to the direction of the lining of electrode plates projecting downward from the rear side of a lid, and pressing the upper frame work of the electrode plates. CONSTITUTION:A projection plate 10 projecting downward from a lid 2 presses and bends the part of a separator 6 extending upward from electrodes 7 and 8, and fixes the upper frame work 12 of the electrode plate 7 through the bent separator 6. In such a way, the separator 6 acts as a shock absorber when the electrode plate 7 is liable to extend, to fix without any hurt and without producing the concentration force, even though the frame work 12 is pressed by the projection plate 10. Therefore, a long service life is secured even in the condition to generate a deformation of electrode plates at a high temperature and an excessive load. |
