A fluid friction clutch for drive systems of vehicles, in particular motor vehicles, is described, which has a stack of lamella-like clutch discs which are punched out of a sheet-metal material and arranged in a housing filled with a viscous working fluid and which are in each case alternately connected to the housing and a shaft held centrally in the housing. In order, during operation of the fluid friction clutch, to avoid the so-called hump effect, in the case of which, as a result of large-area contact of adjacent clutch discs against one another, a rigid through-connection from the shaft to the housing takes place, at least some of the clutch discs (1) are to have impressions (5, 6) on the end faces which act as spacers to the adjacent clutch discs. These impresions can be arranged distributed regularly over the surface of the clutch disc and be directed alternately towards both end sides of the clutch disc. <IMAGE>
