摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a step when grinding an end face and improve accuracy in grinding said end face by making the relative position in the main spindle direction of a grinding wheel a target position of said end face when a sizing signal at the time of grinding a cylindrical part up to a prescribed value is inputted, and calibrating the coordinate in the main spindle direction. CONSTITUTION:In the process of simultaneously grinding the cylindrical part Wa and end face part Wb of a workpiece W by feeding an angular type grinding wheel G in a direction obliquely intersecting to a main spindle axis Os, when the diameter of the cylindrical part Wa reaches a prescribed value, a sizing signal is outputted from a sizing device. By determining the position with the relative position in the main spindle direction of the grinding wheel G when this sizing signal is inputted as the target position of the end face Wb, the coordinate in the main spindle direction relating to feeding control is calibrated. The relative position in the main spindle direction of the grinding wheel G at the time of detecting the sizing signal can be detected by the present position register of a numerical control device. Thus, the generation of stepping at the time of grinding the end face Wa can be prevented by this calibration, improving an end face grinding accuracy.
