<p>DNA coding for genetic information involved in the biosynthetic reacticn of biotin from desthiobiotin, derived from a bacterium of the genus Bacillus having biotin productivity; a recombinant vector having said DNA and a promoter both inserted therein; a microorganism transformed or transduced with said recombinant vector; and a process for producing biotin using said microorganism transformed or transduced.</p>
