PURPOSE:To improve closing performance and to reliably prevent lead of liquid past a passage, by a method wherein a communicating passage for intercommunicating a liquid inflow chamber and a delivery chamber is extended along the longitudinal axis line of a moving core, and a spring force of a spring is effectively exerted on the communicating passage through the medium of a valve seat. CONSTITUTION:Upon disconnection of energization to a solenoid 10, a moving core 13 and a disphragm 14 are lowered to a lowermost position, and valve seat 14B closes a communicating passage 9. With this state, since the passage 9 is approximately coincided with the longitudinal axis direction of the moving core 13, the communicating passage 9 is held n a closed state with a sufficient closing force through the medium of a valve seat 14B through the spring force of a spring 15, and leak of fluid past the passage 9 can be prevented from occurring. Liquid incoming from a liquid inflow passage 4 flows down through a liquid inflow chamber 5, the communicating passage 9, and a liquid delivery chamber 8. However, since a pump chamber P is divided into the liquid inflow chamber 5 and the delivery chamber 8 by means of the communicating passage 9, during running of a pump, each chamber can be increased in especially a liquid delivery pressure, and excluding ability for air stored in the pump chamber P can be improved.
