PURPOSE:To remarkably improve superplasticity by providing an Mg-Ca eutectic alloy having a specific composition and by forming an eutectic structure of fine grains having a specific grain size or below. CONSTITUTION:The Mg-Ca eutectic alloy has a composition containing, by weight, 12-17% Ca and 0.005-0.15% Sr, or containing 12-17% Ca and 0.05-0.2% misch metal, or containing 12-17% Ca, 0.005-0.07% Sr, and 0.05-0.1% misch metal and having the balance Mg with inevitable impurities. Moreover, this alloy is composed of the eutectic structure of fine grains with <=10mu grain size. |
