摘要 PURPOSE:To detect the flow rate of a fluid on the basis of pulse voltage, by a method wherein a suction pipe is allowed to communicate with the annular hole formed on a horizontal surface on the tangential line of said hole and a discharge pipe is allowed to communicate with the annular hole to provide a ball in a movable manner and an irradiation/light receiving means is provided to an optical circuit of which the optical axis is set on the locus of the ball. CONSTITUTION:The fluid flowing in from a total pressure introducing hole 2 passes through a pitot tube 1 to be guided to a suction take-out pipe 12. An annular hole 31 is always positioned on a horizontal surface and the fluid of the pipe 12 enters the annular hole 31 through a strainer mount part 21 but reaches a discharge take-out pipe 9 through a communication hole 26 and a lead-out hole 27 while allows a spherical ball 59 capable of tumbling in the hole 31 to tumble. The signal from a light emitting diode 35 is detected by a photodiode 41 while obstructed by the ball 59 tumbling in the hole 31 according to the flow rate of the fluid. By this constitution, the flow rate of the fluid is converted to the tumbling speed of the ball 59 tumbling in the annular hole 31 and the tumbling speed is converted to pulse voltage by an optical circuit to make it possible to detect the flow rate of the fluid.
