PURPOSE:To shorten a deep bore machining time by equipping an NC machine tool capable of drilling with a machine tool proper and an NC device having a machining bore input means, an initial machining depth setting means and a deep bore machining program setting means. CONSTITUTION:The subject NC machine tool comprises a machine tool proper 10 of machining center type capable of drilling and an NC device 30 capable of driving said machine tool 10 on a deep bore drilling cycle. The NC control device 30 is constituted by a keyboard 31 common to a machining bore input means and the like, a CRT display 33, a pulse generation circuit 35, a sequence circuit 37 and an MPU 39 connected to each of said devices via an interface. This MPU 39 is fitted with a microprocessor 39, a read-only memory 393, a random access memory 395 and a random access memory 397 for buffer. Up to an initial machining depth, therefore, a machining process continues on a continuous feed basis and a step feed is made thereafter.
