PURPOSE:To improve an effect of heat radiation, while improving productivity by splitting one ceramic substrate into a plurality of pieces, by a method wherein a glass layer shaped in a belt is provided partially on the surface of the ceramic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a ceramic substrate 4 is polished to be smooth and a glass layer 34 is formed thereon in the shape of a belt. While the glass layer 34 is applied by a printing method and formed by baking, the width thereof is made as large as 4mm or above and the top portion is made flat. At the back of the ceramic substrate 30 flake grooves 32A and 32B are provided beforehand, and after glass layers 34A, 34B and 34C are formed on the surface thereof, the ceramic substrate 30 is split along the flake grooves 32A and 32B. Then, a heating resistance element 20 is formed on each of the glass layers 34A-34C. Since the glass layers are provided partially in regions wherein the heating resistance elements are formed respectively, according to this constitution, an effect of heat radiation is improved, and a change in printing density due to heat accumulation can be held down. |
