PURPOSE:To exactly prevent a paper jam caused by an accumulation in an accumulating part of a copying form exceeding the allowable number of sheets, by inhibiting start of copying, when the number of sheets of the copying form which is accumulates has exceeded the allowable number of accumulated sheets. CONSTITUTION:An original detecting means 231 is a means which attain anon- state, when the number of sheets of an original A which is placed on an original platen 17 exceeds the allowable number of accumulated sheets in a temporary accumulating part, and its output is connected to a microcomputer 103. Accordingly, the microcomputer 103 reads a state of this original detecting means 231 at the time of double copying or multiple copying for using the temporary accumulating part, decides that there is the possibility for generating paper jam due to copying, in case of an on-state, and inhibits start of copying. In this regard, as for the original detecting means 231, a switch means is not always required, and that which can detect the number of sheets of the original A being in a placed state is available. |
