GAS SEPARATION BY SELECTIVE ADSORPTION

A method to separate gas from adsorption column is presented. Thus, 15psig. air is passed through the 1.049 X 8.75 inches column contg. 82.55g 13X adsorptive material screened with 48/80 mesh. The dia. of the piston is 1-3/4 inch and the length of the piston is 2 inches. The longer piston has 3 inch stroke length and the shorter piston has 1 inch stroke long. The piston cycle is 30 rpm. Using this apparatus, gas is separated with high purity.
