PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of fuel gas and oxidizing agent gas and to reduce deformation caused by heat by forming a current taking out terminal with the first flat plate which is closely in contact with the end of a stack and with a plurality of the second flat plates which connect with the first flat plate and are rising from the first flat palte. CONSTITUTION:In a fuel cell comprising a stack obtained by stacking a plurality of unit cells and having current taking-out terminals on its both end sides, the current taking-out terminal consists of the first flat plate 16 which is closely in contact with the end of the stack and a plurality of the second flat paltes 17 which connect with the first flat plate and are rising from the first flat plate and between which some spaces exist. A slit for absorbing heat expansion is installed in the first flat plate 16 parallel to the second flat palte 17. Since the space exists between the second flat plates, it absorbes heat expansion of the current taking-out terminal and prevents heat deformation. Therefore, the good bonding of the end of the stack to the current taking-out terminal can be maintained. |
