PURPOSE:To stabilize plural laser light outputs at the same time with common control constitution by providing a beam detecting means which detects the quantity of one of the light beams on every scanning line and a light beam control means which receives its beam detection signal as a feedback signal and drives and controls respective light sources for only a certain time except in a print area on every scanning line to stabilize and correct the quantity of each light beam. CONSTITUTION:The beam detecting means 5 detects either of the laser beams from laser light sources 30a and 30a for latent image forming means 3a and 4a and a laser controller 6 drives and controls the laser light sources 30a and 40a. The beam detecting means 5 detects the quantity of the laser beam of, for example, the laser light source 30a on every scanning line. The laser control means 6 receives its beam detection signal as the feedback signal and stabilizes and corrects the quantities of the laser beams of the laser light sources 30a and 40a for only the certain time on every scanning line except in the print area.
