PURPOSE:To easily detect the target and present positions by initializing the command value and F/B counters in the same number at a reference position and gives the positioning control to a motor based on the deviation of integrated value between both counters. CONSTITUTION:The positioning controller of a servomotor 24 contains a CPU 10, input/output interfaces 12, 14 and 18, an A/D converter 20, a servo driver 22, an encoder 26 of a position detector, etc., and gives the positioning control to the motor 24. The CPU 10 includes a command value counter and an F/B counter, a deviation register, etc. At the same time, a memory 16 storing the integrated value of both counters is connected to the CPU 10 together with a host computer 62 connected via an interface 60. Thus the CPU 10 calculates the deviation of integrated value between both counters based on the counted command pulse trains and F/B pulses. Then the revolution of the motor 24 is driven via the driver 22. Furthermore the values of both counters are sent to the computer 62 and displayed on a display device 64.
