PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability upon a failure on the trolley line side or the D.C. bus side, by providing such an arrangement that both power running current and recovery current flow one and the same breaker while section-over is prevented upon grounding accident in the trolley line side so that two diode bridge circuits are used as standby systems for each other. CONSTITUTION:Breakers 23, 43, 53 are provided in a circuit for supplying D.C. power to trolley lines 9a through 9f so that power running current and recovery current may be controlled. Further, it is possible to cope with a failure in a power running current bus and recovery current bus by cutting off the breakers. Further, since the breaker 53 is connected to trolley lines 9c, 9f which are sectioned by a double section, when any grounding accident occurs in the trolley lines 9a, 9b, 9c, 9e, a section-over phenomenon may be prevented if the breaker 53 is opened together with a breaker in the failure line. Further, two sets of diode bridge circuits 21, 41 are used as standby systems for each other by disposing D.C. breakers 81, 82. Accordingly, even if one of the breakers fails, power may be fed through the other breakers.
