PURPOSE:To obtain a fine color developed Ti material by pretreating a Ti material by the regulation of the grain size of the surface part, satin finish with a grooving roll or mirror polishing so as to regulate the color sensitivity and by subjecting the pretreated Ti material to anodic oxidation or oxidation at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:When a color developed Ti material is produced from a Ti material by anodic oxidation or oxidation at a high temp., the Ti material is pretreated by the regulation of the grain size of the surface part to 10-1000mum, satin finish to 10-1000mum surface roughness with a grooving roll or mirror polishing to <=0.2mum surface roughness (Rmax). a color developed Ti material assuming one of various neutral tints and color tones of high transparency and having fine appearance is obtd. by subjecting the pretreated Ti material to anodic oxidation or oxidation at a high temp.
