Helical rolling device for massaging purposes

The invention proposes a helical rolling device whose engine (2c) induces a helical rolling body (1) releasably fastened on the shaft to execute slow, infinitely adjustable rotating movements which can be switched from right to left via a gear (2b) and a drive shaft (2a). On its curved surface the helical rolling body (1) is profiled by a round groove (1a) extending in spirals from one end to the other in a manner such that a circular strip (1b) having the same spirals is formed in between these. A helical rolling body (1) of this shape permits thorough massaging of the tissue, especially scarred or poorly perfused areas, as well as selective transport of liquid in the skin. In order to avoid interference of the rolling massage by the housing (2) it is flattened and tapered on the treatment side. The handle (2d) is slightly bent to facilitate handling. Depending on the body region to be massaged the helical rolling bodies (1) are cylindrical, conical, convex and ovoid or concave and club-shaped. <IMAGE>
