PURPOSE:To shorten the week time by providing a means for storing the position of a track having maximum times of accesses in a circuit for controlling the position of the magnetic head and waiting the magnetic head on the track having the maximum times of the accesses immediately after the access of a track is completed. CONSTITUTION:In order to store the address of the track having the maximum number of the accesses, an address storage means 46 consisting of a register or the like is provided in a disk controller 4. This address storage means 46 can be written by a microprocessor 1 through a system bus 5. In the microprocessor 1, the track having the maximum number of the accesses is detected and the address thereof is written in the address storage means 46. The disk controller 4, when the writing and reading control of the data to a disk driver side is completed, checks the address of the address storage means 46 every time, and always moves the magnetic head in a disk driver 6 to wait.
