<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain type stepless variable speed transmission mechanism enhanced in transmission efficiency by increasing friction coefficients between chain link pins and pulley sheaves in all the pulley ratio areas. <P>SOLUTION: Many circular grooves 21 are provided in sheave surface areas of pulley sheaves 11a and 12a on the inner peripheral sides than winding arcs of a chain 13, in the chain winding state of a pulley ratio 1 where the winding arc diameters of the chain 13 to a primary pulley 11 and a secondary pulley 12 become the same. In a coasting running made in a low side pulley ratio, the shortage in friction coefficient is eliminated by circular grooves 21 of the primary sheaf 11a in the contact areas between both end surfaces of link pin of the chain 13 and the primary sheaf 11a. In a drive running made in a high side pulley ratio, the degradation of the transmission efficiency is also remarkable owing to the shortage of the friction coefficients, this trouble is eliminated by the circular grooves 21 of the secondary sheaf 12a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
