PURPOSE:To make assembling work for an inner panel efficient enough automatically, by making an assembling jig free of lifting, horizontal and tilting movements, and superposing a lower edge of the inner panel on an inner surface lower edge part of an outer panel by tilting motion of the assembling jig. CONSTITUTION:An inner panel (b) is assembled to an inner surface of an outer panel (a) from the upside by an assembling jig 3 which is hangingly held by the truck 4 installed between an upper position of a set station S1 and a delivery station S2 free of reciprocation, free of lifting, horizontal and tilting movements. The truck 4 is supported on rails 4b and 4b attached to a guide frame 4a at an upper part of both these stations S1 and S2 free of movement in the cross direction, while the truck 4 is made free of reciprocation between these stations S1 and S2 by c.w. or c.c.w. rotation of a motor 4d, and each of first and second lifting cylinders 5b and 5c is mounted on a lifting frame 5 and on the truck 4, then a jig unit 6 supporting the assembling jig 3 free of horizontal and tilting movements is attached thereto.
