PURPOSE:To enable a machine to start smoothly, by supplying the power from the power source terminal to an armature winding, and by supplying it to an exciting winding through a condenser and a power rectifier. CONSTITUTION:A stator armature winding 1 is wound with the neutral point 2 at its center in three-phase. A stator exciting winding 3 is also provided and along with the armature winding 1 it is connected so that the power may be supplied from a power source 4. It is electrically connected from the power source 4 to the exciting winding 3 through a condenser 6 and a power rectifier 5 composed of a rectifier with control elements. The ratio of the number of pole of the armature winding 1 to that of the exciting winding 3 is 2 to 1 and a magnetic circuit in their interlinkage can service both windings.
