PURPOSE:To enhance time stability and resistance to chemicals such as oils and fats and plasticizers of a printed image, by using zinc acrylate or alpha-alkylacrylate as a recorded image stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:Zinc acrylate of alpha-alkylacrylate is used as a recorded image stabilizer in a recording material utilizing a color forming reaction by contact between a leuco dye and a color developer. Zinc acylate or alpha-alkylacrylate is represented by the formula, wherein R is H or an alkyl group such as methyl, ethyl, propyl and butyl. The recorded image stabilizer may be incorporated in a thermal recording layer or a pressure-sensitive recording layer, and is generally used in mixture with the leuco dye and/or the color developer. The leuco dye, the color developer and zinc acrylate or alpha-alkylacrylate are used in the amounts of respectively 5-30wt%, 20-80wt% and 5-50wt% to the total weight of the three components. |
