PURPOSE:A three wavelength type fluorescent lamp having further improved luminous flux, obtained by depositing a mixture consisting of a blue fluorescent substance of an alkaline earth metallic aluminate shown by a specific formula and fluorescent substances showing spectral distributions with the maximum emission wavelength, respectively, on the inner face of a tube. CONSTITUTION:The aimed lamp obtained by depositing a mixture consisting of (A) a first fluorescent substance, a blue fluorescent substance of an alkaline earth metallic aluminate activated with bivalent europium, shown by the formula (M is Sr or Ca; a, b, x, y and z are in 0.005<=a<=1.5, 0<=b<=0.5, 0<x<=8, 10<=y<=50 and 0<z<=3.5), (B) a second fluorescent substance (preferably fluorescent substance of rare earth element oxide activated with trivalent europium) showing spectral distribution with the maximum emission wavelength in 530-550nm wave range and (C) a third fluorescent substance (preferably fluorescent substance of rare earth element oxide activated with trivalent europium) showing spectral distribution having the maximum emission wavelength in 600-620nm wave range on the inner face of a tube.
