PURPOSE:To obtain a telephone set where the time is set or corrected in a clock circuit by providing a control circuit outputting time information from a notice means and constituting a switch starting the control circuit in common use with a time setting mode changeover key switching the clock circuit to the time setting mode. CONSTITUTION:In depressing a time setting mode changeover key 4, a started control circuit 14 controls a '117' drive circuit 13 and an electronic hook switch 15 to dial a telephone number from a dial circuit 8 and to control a talking circuit 7 causing time information to be outputted from a speaker 12. In this case, the state of a touch panel face changes from the state in figure (a) into the state in figure (b), the time setting key 5 is operated while listening to time information from the speaker 12 to display the setting time on a display device 6. In depressing the time setting key 5 next, the time set newly is counted from the moment, the electronic hook switch 15 is controlled through the control circuit 14 at the same time, a call is disconnected and the state of the touch panel face is changed from the state in the figure (b) into that in the figure (a). Thus, the time setting and correction of the clock circuit 9 are facilitated.
