PURPOSE:To discover an abnormality as the whole of a system by connecting plural data processing devices to inform the external part of the abnormality diagnosing mechanism operating result of itself and input data, through a communicating line and informing of a self-diagnosing result from another data processing device. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal 1d is closed and here, shorting is not executed, after the usual processing of a multiuse switch 1 is executed, the diagnosis of a ROM3, a RAM32, a timer 33, a setting switch group 1a, etc., is executed by the checking of a memory, the checking of an instruction code, etc. Next, when the diagnosing result of an input output port is normal, the input condition of a multiple signal is checked. Further, when a multiple transmitting terminal, a computer for control a CRT or a tuner for audio which is other device executes the diagnosis, when the diagnosing result is outputted, the contents are stored into the RAM32. Thus, since respective devices execute respectively independently the diagnosis processing, output the self-diagnosis result and output mutually the diagnosis result at a multiple transmission line, even when itself cannot inform of the abnormality and other device is made into an abnormality diagnosing condition, the abnormal data can be obtained.
