PURPOSE:To obtain the configuration of a ventilating circuit, low in noise and high in efficiency, by a method wherein a sealed space is formed at the part of a stabilizer, which is nearest to a cross-flow fan and holes, connecting the sealed space with the ventilating circuit, are formed on the side surface of the part nearest to the cross-flow fan to make a resonance chamber while the resonance chamber is isolated from the ventilating circuit with thin diaphragms. CONSTITUTION:A sealed space 13 is provided on the part 12A of a stabilizer 12, which is nearest to a cross-flow fan 7, and the sealed space 13 is opened to a ventilating circuit 10 through holes 14 for the intake of a pressure in order to form a plurality of Helmholtz resonant chambers. The holes 14 are closed by thin diaphragms 13 to isolate the sealed space 13 from the ventilating circuit 10 perfectly and form an air-tight structure. The relation between the holes 14 and the sealed space 13 is designed so as to resonate with the revolving number of the cross-flow fan 7 upon the maximum flow amount as well as the frequency of sound generated by the number of blade 11 of the same fan. The sound, generated depending on the number of revolution of the cross-flow fan and the number of blade of the same fan, is absorbed and attenuated and the configuration of the ventilating circuit is optimized while suppressing the generation of the sound whereby the low noise and the high performance of an air-conditioning machine may be contrived. |
