PURPOSE:To input a contracted sound and a long contracted sound through one touch and to simplify an input operation for a contracted sound and a long contracted sound compared with a conventional method by giving to a shift key a function changing normal vowels 'a', 'i', 'u', 'e', and 'o' to contracted vowels ya, yi, yu, ye and yo. CONSTITUTION:The contracted sound/long contracted sound shift key 3 has a function converting Japanese alphabets to contracted sounds and long contracted sounds. When 'a' column sound keys in Japanese alphabets such as 'sa' and 'ta' are keyed in by depressing said shift key 3, the corresponding contracted 'a' column sounds like 'sha' and 'cha' can be inputted. When 'i' column sound keys in Japanese alphabets such as 'ki' and 'shi' are keyed in by depressing the key 3, the corresponding long contracted 'u' column sounds such as 'kyu' and 'shu' can be inputted.
