PURPOSE:To have an outer end of a molding body running along a corner part of window glass housed in a strip groove and deformed as well as to aim at improvement in the extent of exterior viewability and so on, by forming the strip groove in a reverse side longitudinal direction between a leg part hangingly installed position and an outer end in the molding body. CONSTITUTION:An automobile window molding 1 consists of a section-circular strip molding body 4 covering a clearance S between an opening edge 2a of a car body 2 and a peripheral edge 3a of front window glass 3 and a leg part 5 hangingly installed in a central longitudinal direction of the backside 4a of this body 4. And, the leg part 5 is provided with each of support lips 6 and 7 at both sides and a bent holding piece 8 pinching an end of the window glass 3 at the tip together with the body 4, respectively. In this construction aforesaid, a section-semicircular strip groove 11 is formed at the outside of the backside 4a of the molding body 4, a namely, a spot of the backside 4a in and around a root at the car body side of the leg part, along the longitudinal direction of the body 4.
