PURPOSE:To perform an accurate weight adjustment work by placing two connecting rods (work piece), the basic cutting work to one of which is completed, and to the other of which no cutting work is applied, on a table set movably whereby performing the cutting work by a normal profile milling machine. CONSTITUTION:Both a connecting rod 23-1, the basic cutting work to which is completed, and a connecting rod 23-2, to which no cutting work is applied, are placed on a table set movably. A cutting tool 13a which is positioned by a cylinder unit 13, is positioned with respect to the large end 23d of the connecting rod 23-1, then the basic cutting is performed to the large end 23d of the connecting rod 23-2. After the cutting work for two connecting rods is completed, a similar operation is repeated to a different connecting rod for performing the weight adjustment of connecting rods efficiently.
