Process for the artificial yellowing of reproductions of old postcards, thereby giving the appearance of natural ageing of the paper, whilst at the same time preserving the clarity of the picture. The process involves first reproducing the old postcard and subsequently yellowing it by a pass with ink of desired shade and colour or with varnish or finish or by combining these with one another. The process of the invention is intended especially for the artificial yellowing of reproductions of old postcards without any impairment of the clarity of the picture.
