The invention relates to a mounting arrangement for a gate or closure, including at least two longitudinally spaced apart gudgeons 5, 6 which are attached to a post or upright, such as a gate post 1. The gudgeons are vertically spaced apart one from the other, each gudgeon including an upwardly extending mounting shaft 3 one of the mounting shafts being longer than the other.
