Magnetic field sensor

A magnetic field sensor is specified which is produced using thin-film technology and has resistor elements (11, 11') which consist of a magnetised, magnetoresistive material. The resistor element consists of strips (17, 17') which are arranged parallel and are linked in a meandering shape and whose connecting pieces (18, 18') are constructed with a large area. The magnetic coupling is increased by suitable arrangement of two resistor elements (11, 11'). The magnetic field sensor according to the invention is particularly suitable for measuring weak magnetic fields, for example the earth's magnetic field. <IMAGE>
