PURPOSE:To prevent a pump from reducing the durability thereof caused by the idle operation of a pump by providing a control portion adapted to confirm the water level within a bathtub at the time point of actuating the pump, and actuating the pump after the water supply to the bathtub if water is short of. CONSTITUTION:When the reheating of bathtub water or the freeze prevention thereof is carried out by using a heat exchanger 12 for the bath, a pump 11 is actuated to circulate water. At a point in time where the pump is actuated, the control portion 14 determines the water level in a bathtub 7 by a water level sensor 13. When the control portion 14 determines that the water level necessary for actuating the pump 11 is not reached a valve 8 is opened and water is supplied into the bathtub 7. When the necessary water level is reached, the valve is closed to complete the water supply, and thereafter the pump 11 is actuated. In a case where the water level is not raised even if the water supply is carried out for a predetermined period of time, it is determined that a drain stop is not fitted, and it is announced. Accordingly, the reduction in the life of the pump 11 due to the idle operation thereof can be prevented without necessitating of filling water in the bathtub 7 as in the case of the conventional bath boiler.
