PURPOSE:To improve the jetting efficiency of ink particles by a method wherein an escape of pressure wave to outside in case of driving of an electrostrictive elements is reduced by increasing the rigidity of an outer wall of conducting passage. CONSTITUTION:For example, a reinforcing plate 21 made of a ceramic is bonded by an adhesive with all over the outer wall surface of conducting passage 4 together with a ceramic heater 20. Any material is usable for the reinforcing plate 21 if the material has an action to increase the rigidity. In this way, the escape of pressure wave to outside in case of driving electrostrictive elements, is decreased by the reinforcing plate, therefore ink particles are efficiently jetted. Moreover, the conducting passage is reinforced for the same area as that of the reinforcing plate, therefore, the uniform effect is obtained which results in a prevention of characteristic scattering. |
