PURPOSE:To eliminate the both sides feeding of an one side document and to shorten the working time by providing means for detecting the existence of a picture image on the rear side of a document in the feeding path and leading only such document as a picture image is detected on the rear side to an inversion path under both sides feeding mode. CONSTITUTION:A document circulation feeder 32 arranged while covering the upper face of the document table 2 of a copy machine is constructed with a document tray 33, a document cover section 34 and an operating section 36. A feeding path 38 communicating between the lowermost section of the document tray 33 and the document table 2, a return path 42 communicating between the document table 2 and the uppermost section of the document tray 33, a retrieving path 47 and an inverted paper returning path 45 are formed in the operating section 36. Here, CCD sensor 5 for detecting the existence of a picture image on the rear side of the document is disposed in the paper feed path 38. Under both sides feeding mode, only such document as a picture image is detected on the rear side by means of CCD 5 is led to the inverting paths (45, 47) so as to perform the feeding operations with respect to the front and rear sides of the document. |
