PURPOSE:To avoid breakage of a cathode ray tube, by shifting a position where the maximum stress occurs by a metal fastner at the time of fastening of a deflection yoke, from a position wherein the inner wall of a neck parts is in contact with metal parts of the electron gun which is sealed in a cathode ray tube and fixing them at both positions. CONSTITUTION:A deflection yoke 4 is set from the end of the neck part 1 of a cathode ray tube 10, and its face side end is closely attached to peripheral of a bulb, and the yoke 4 is mounted on the peripheral of a cone 11 by fastening and fixing, on the neck part 1, the fastening screw 6 of a fastening band 5 which is provided to the end part of the yoke 4. In this case, the band 5 is arranged in its position to be shifted so that its rising part 9 may not come in a position where it faces bulb spacers 3. The maximum stress occurrence range by the band 5 of the yoke 4 is about 20 deg. from a line connecting the folded part of the band 5 to the center of tube axis in a direction to a part where the band and the yoke are in contact with each other, and positioning of the band is made so that no contacting matter may exist on the inside wall of the neck part corresponding to that range. Thus, occurrence of cracks on the neck part 1 can be avoided.
