PURPOSE:A digging muddy water conditioner useful for foundation work of engineering works, having improved performance in both heat resistance and salt resistance, comprising a copolymer consisting of (meth)acrylamide, a (meth) acrylate, etc., and a water-soluble ampholytic vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:The aimed muddy water conditioner showing improved dehydration reducing effect even in sea water or in high-temperature muddy water with high salt concentration, consisting of (A) (meth)acrylamide or a mixture thereof, (B) preferably >=50wt% (in copolymer) one or more anionic vinyl monomers comprising a (meth)acrylate or a 2-acrylamido-2- methylpropanesulfonate and (C) a water-soluble ampholytic vinyl monomer comprising at least one of a water-soluble ampholytic vinyl monomer shown by the formula (R1 is H or methyl; R2 and R3 are lower alkyl group; m and n are 1-3).
