摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To shorten the acceleration time of a rolling mill and to improve the productivity by accelerating the rolling mill at the max. acceleration rate allowable to a rewinder and a winder and reducing the rate when the rewinder or the winder reaches the current limit speed during the accelerating operation. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of current detectors 18 and 37 of a rewinder and a winder set in the rolling mill control circuit are inputted into current limit computing elements 21 and 40; outputs of an acceleration rate computing element 23 of the rolling mill are limited by the output signals from the detectors 18 and 37. The rolling mill begins to be accelerated at the max. acceleration rate allowable to the rewinder and the winder and signals reducing the mill acceleration rate are outputted to the computing element 23 through the computing element 21 when, for example, a current by the detector 18 of a rewinder motor 16 reaches a prescribed current limit value. As for the winder, the same operation as that for the rewinder is performed. Therefore, the acceleration time of the rolling mill is shortened for improvement of the productivity.</p>
