PURPOSE:To uniformly heat round steels so as to eliminate hard spots and to decrease the formation of scale by providing a cylindrical heating furnace which has an inclination and rotates and making the round steels thrown therein movable downward while rotating the same. CONSTITUTION:The round steels 5 cut to a standard size are thrown into the cylindrical heating furnace A which has the inclination and rotates. A stable slipping speed is generated by the rotation generated in the round steels 5, by which the round steels 5 are arrayed and moved in the heating furnace A. The round steels 5 are thus uniformly heated, by which the hard spots are eliminated and the furnace temp. is made lower. The formation of scale is decreased.
