In ink mosaic printers it is significant, both for the type face and for the reliability during the printing operation, that the ejection of ink droplets from the individual outlet nozzles takes place at the same constant speed. However, since material properties and production influences play a considerable role in this as well as the drive criteria, an adjustment for ink ejection is performed in known devices. This is achieved for example by adjusting the pulse voltage with which the individual drive elements of an ink mosaic head are operated. There is no provision of a simple adjustment by means of which it is ensured that the ink droplets are ejected from the outlet openings 2 in phase. This is achieved according to the invention in that the sections (17), serving as pressure channels, of the ink channels (3) are all constructed to have the same length from the pressure chambers (4) as far as the outlet openings (2). By means of the in-phase ejection of the ink droplets from the outlet openings (2), graphic prints with a fine raster as well as a compact design of the print head are made possible. <IMAGE>
