PURPOSE:To stop a mover at a specified position without using a detector, by fixing excitation on phase at a specified position, after the excitation of one phase at least leading the phase at a specified position is executed in a long cycle. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 20 is controlled by a microcomputer 78 including a CPU70, a ROM72, a RAM74, and a bus 76, via a motor driving circuit 80. In the ROM72, various control programs including the stop control program of the stepping motor 20 are stored, and by the CPU70 with the help of the RAM74, the control programs are run. When a mover moving in one direction is mechanically checked at a specified position by the stop control and is stopped at the position, then excitation is executed so that it may be fixed on phase at a specified position, after the excitation of one phase leading the specified position in an excitation cycle is executed in a cycle longer than the excitation cycle. |
