PURPOSE:To obtain a record with high density, by reducing a spacing between the recording and reproducing gap of a magnetic head and a magnetic medium. CONSTITUTION:A spring 3 having two points of application is provided at the plane of a pad 1 oppositely facing with a magnetic head 4 and also, at the outside of the moving range of the magnetic head 4, so that the apex of the magnetic head 4 is brought into contact, with the highest pressure, against a plane where the plane of the pad 1 facing with the magnetic head 4 is curved in a recessed shape against the head 4. Thus, by setting an interval, the shape of a curved plane, etc., at the optimum condition, the apex of the magnetic head 4 can bring into contact with the pad 1 with the highest pressure, and even when the recording and reproducing gap is dislocated from the apex of the head 4, the spacing between the recording and reproducing gap of the head 4 and the magnetic medium can be reduced. In this way, a good recording and reproduction for the record with high density can be attained.
