PURPOSE:To prevent a cleaning blade from damaging a photosensitive body by reducing the luminous energy of an original lighting lamp less than that at the time of normal transfer, carrying toner on the photosensitive body by simulation and bringing the cleaning blade into contact with the photosensitive body at the prescribed timing. CONSTITUTION:A control part 43 drops the impression voltage of the original lighting lamp 4a to 55V, for instance, from a normal 65 V, and drives said lamp with less luminous energy than that at normal transfer. This occurs because the toner will not carry on the photosensitvie drum 9 if the original lighting lamp 4a irradiates a white part 2a with the luminous energy at the time of normal transfer. When the original lighting lamp 4a irradiates the white part 2a with the less luminous energy, it produces the same effect as irradiating a grey original, thereby carrying the toner on the photosensitive drum 9. Namely the toner forming a positive image carries on the photosenstive drum 9, which rotates. Thanks to simulation for initialization, the toner being a lubricant between the photosensitive body and the cleaning blade easily and efficiently adheres to the photosensitive body. |
