<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (A and B are OH or =O except a case where A and B are same; R is H, alkyl or aryl; X is H or amino-protecting group). EXAMPLE:One isomer of 4-amino-5-hydroxyl-2-pyrrolidinone. USE:A medicine, biosynthesis inhibitor for bacterial cell walls (when X is H) or synthetic intermediate for antimicrobial agents. PREPARATION:An aminosuccinimide derivative, having protected amino group and expressed by formula II (X is not H) is subjected to reductive reaction by reducing in the presence of a reducing agent, e.g. NaBH4, etc., at 9pH in water as a solvent, etc., to give the compound expressed by formula I that is a partial reduction product, which is, as necessary, subjected to deprotection reaction by catalytically in the presence of 10% Pd-BaSO4 catalyst in a methanol solvent, etc., to provide the aimed compound expressed by formula I (X is H).</p> |
