PURPOSE:To prevent the bridge phenomenon of a developer in a makeup hopper from occurring, and to perform a noiseless operation, by mounting an elastic plate that can be easily deformed at the window of a partition wall which sections a developer tank and the makeup hopper. CONSTITUTION:When an agitating operation is performed by an agitating blade 3, a portion of the developer to be mixed splashes to a partition wall plate 6 side, and collides with the surface of the elastic plate 8 of the said partition wall plate 6. the elastic plate 8 is deformed by a pressure generated by a collision, however, collision energy is irregular, and since the developer is agitated cyclically in the length direction of the agitating blade 3 by the agitating blade 3, the deforming state of the elastic plate 8 changes in the lapse of time. Therefore, the developer in a makeup hopper 1b is impossible to obtain a stable state by the deformation of the elastic plate 8 which holds those particles of the developer, and the bridge phenomenon in a makeup tank can be prevented from occurring, and also, since the colliding sound of the developer against the elastic plate 8 is almost silent, a noise is prevented from occurring. |
