PURPOSE:To blend homogeneously a synthetic resin with a fibrous filler by putting a raw material consisting of the synthetic resin powder and the fibrous filler in a mixer in such a way that the true vol. is less than a specified quantity and by floating and fluidizing them. CONSTITUTION:It is necessary that a synthetic resin is capable to flow by the flow velocity of a flowing gas and it is preferable that the average particle diameter is less than about 1mmphi. A fibrous filler is prepared of glass, carbon, metal or an organic substance and the length is less than 100mm. The raw material consisting of the synthetic resin particles and the fibrous filler is put in a mixer in such a way that the true vol. of the raw material is less than 50% of the vol. of the mixer and mixed under the condition that the circumferen tial velocity of the blade of the mixer is higher than 10m/sec. Cuttings of the fibers hardly occurs by this means and homogeneous blending of the fibers with the synthetic resin particles can be carried out and various physical proper ties of the molding are thereby improved.
