PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in stability as liquid and workability before curing and giving a cured article of excellent heat resistance and electrical insulation, by mixing an epoxy resin with a specified carboxylic acid anhydride mixture, a polymerizable vinyl monomer and a radical initiator. CONSTITUTION:A curable resin composition containing an epoxy compound (a), a mixture (b) of glycerol tristrimellitate with another carboxylic acid anhydride, a polymerizable vinyl monomer (c) and a radical initiator (d). It is desirable in respect of the viscosity and workability of a liquid composition and the heat resistance of a cured article that the epoxy compound used has an epoxy equivalent of, especially 170-4,000. An epoxy compound which is easily available and suitable for the present purpose is one derived from an epihalohydrin and bisphenol A or its chlorine- or bromine-substituted derivative. The amount of the epoxy compound used is 20-80wt% based on the curable resin composition.
